The Great Fire of London - Living history drama workshop for Home Educators

Its Sunday 2nd September, 1666, and there’s something burning in the bakery.....

This drama workshop immerses you in the London of 1666, just as the world is catching fire!

We’ll create our characters, choose a profession, and get dressed up ready to re-enact the Story of the Fire. The group will make decisions for their characters, meet and interact with other characters, and discover the consequences of their choices.

A memorable and hands-on learning experience to bring the Great Fire to life, and introduce key vocabulary, characters and knowledge about the course of events.

Age guide: 4-9yrs. (Limited places)

Tickets - £12 for one child / £9.60 for siblings (20% discount)

Please bring a drink and a small snack if you want for our break. (no nuts please)

Safeguarding Policy

Treehouse Theatre provides educational entertainment rather than child care, so parents (or their designated responsible adult) remain responsible for their children at all times, and we expect all to stay either in the hall or very close by. We have access to a kitchen for tea and coffee, and will create a space where you can chat so that conversations don’t disturb the workshop.

If you leave the premises you must tell our team and ensure you have left a phone number we can contact you on, and let us know who your designated responsible adult is, in your absence. Please don’t leave children who may need your support to access the workshop. Children under 8 may not be left.

All Treehouse actors have a current DBS certificate which can be seen, and follow Equity’s guidelines for working with young people.
