Description
In this festive, family-friendly musical, eight young cookie chefs from across the country battle it out for first prize at the Cookie Coliseum. As three celebrity judges eliminate the chefs one by one, tension mounts and rivalry begins to give way to charity, family, and forgiveness. Meanwhile, the chefs learn what really makes for a winning Christmas recipe.
Auditions
Auditions will be held October 1 & 2 at 2pm, in the Wilson Carr Rehearsal Hall. Those interested in auditioning should prepare
--16 bars (measures) of a Christmas song that best shows off your range
--bring appropriate shoes and attire for the dance portion,
--be prepared for cold readings from the script.
--All who audition must bring their calendars and list all conflicts regarding the rehearsal schedule on their audition sheets.
Characters/Roles Available
The Contestants (Ages 10-16)
Hailey – Female/Female-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. A sensitive soul who longs for her Grandma's cookies.
Gabe – Male/Male-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. A bully who's more than happy to bend the rules.
Logan – Male/Male-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. A video game buff who feels out of place in the kitchen.
Brianna – Female/Female-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. The perfect overachiever who's done her homework.
Julian – Male/Male-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. A culinary artiste with a talent for fine cuisine.
Josh – Male/Male-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. A science enthusiast who knows his formulas.
Mackenzie – Female/Female-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. A social media fanatic who loves the spotlight.
Amelia – Female/Female-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. A Disney devotee who's slightly scattered in the kitchen.
The Adults
Malcolm Finch – Male/Male-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. Intensley British, a la Gordon Ramsey.
Isabella Bloom – Female/Female-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. A food fashionista, with a heightened sense of aesthetic.
Del Ray – Male/Male-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. A celebrity pop singer. Full of warmth and energy.
Mrs. Beasley – Female/Female-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. The quintessential helicopter mom of BRIANNA, who watches every detail.
Lawrence Odom – Male/Male-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. The faithful host and announcer of the competition.
Gabe's Dad – Male/Male-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. A big wig TV exec who teaches his son to win at all costs.
Grandma – Female/Female-Identifying. Any race or ethnicity. HAILEY'S quirky, loving Grandma.
