As we are harvesting our grapes in the northern hemisphere, the buds are just starting to break in the countries further south (of the equator that is). Let’s send some good wishes to Australia for a stellar growing season by paying tribute to some of their tastiest creations. It’s time to get reacquainted with the many diverse regions, grapes, and styles of wines from this unique wine-making country. And that may mean some updated maps! Did you know Australia has more than 2,460 wineries in 65 wine regions throughout the country? Of course, Shiraz is bound to make an appearance, but you may be surprised to see what other wizardry is brewing down under.
