The Grass Roots - Formed in 1965 with hit producer Steve Barri, The Grass Roots became one of classic rock’s most recognizable bands, charting 29 Billboard Hot 100 singles, earning gold and platinum albums, and selling more than 20 million records worldwide. Known for hits like “Midnight Confessions” and “Temptation Eyes,” the band has performed more than 100 shows annually and appeared on over 50 national television programs, including The Ed Sullivan Show, The Tonight Show, and American Bandstand.
Today, The Grass Roots continue to bring their timeless hits to audiences with longtime members Dusty Hanvey (lead guitar, vocals), Larry Nelson (keyboards, vocals), Joe Dougherty (drums), and Mark Dawson (lead vocals, bass). With decades of experience performing these beloved songs, the band continues to connect generations of fans through the music that helped define an era.
The Buckinghams - One of Chicago’s most beloved bands, The Buckinghams rose to national fame in the 1960s with their No. 1 Billboard hit “Kind of a Drag.” The group went on to score seven national chart hits, release eight acclaimed albums, and earn the title “The Most Listened to Band in America” from Billboard magazine.
Led by original members Carl Giammarese and Nick Fortuna, The Buckinghams continue to deliver high-energy performances featuring timeless hits like “Don’t You Care,” “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy,” and “Hey Baby (They’re Playing Our Song).” Their television appearances include American Bandstand and The Ed Sullivan Show, and their enduring legacy has earned them inductions into the Hit Parade Hall of Fame, the Illinois Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and the RockGodz Hall of Fame. Decades later, The Buckinghams continue to entertain generations of fans with the classic sounds of the ’60s and ’70s.
