We are proud to announce the Grand Opening of The WWII Museum Of The NRV!After months of hard work and dedication, we are opening the doors to the Museum. Come walk through history, explore authentic artifacts, and hear the stories that shaped our nation.
Help us honor our veterans and celebrate this moment for our community!
ADMISSION IS FREE-ALL ARE WELCOME.
SCHEDULE:
-Living Historians/Re-enactors arrive for setup NLT 09:00
-Prayer and the National Anthem, words of THANKS and special recognitions, and ribbon cutting will kick off the festivities at 11:00am SHARP…Don’t be late!
-The Virginia Tech Highty Tighties Regimental band will be performing “Big Band” music throughout the day!
-WW2 Aircraft (four, T-6 Texans) flyovers will begin around 11:45 or 12:00 (weather dependent)
-Mission BBQ will begin serving food around 12:30 (free to all guest)
-We are honored to announce that several WW2 Veterans-our Guests of Honor- will be joining us at the grand opening. Come shake their hands, hear their stories, and thank them in person for the freedoms that we enjoy today!
-Museum self-guided tours all day.
