It is time for The Grand Crusade!+++ The Crusade +++
We are going to play an ongoing Narrative Crusade in the 10th Edition of Warhammer 40.000.
"The Korvelis Sector is on the brink of war, an ancient household of Imperial Knights has come face to face with kin long thought lost, their hearts and minds devoted to the forces of Chaos.
The forces of the Imperium struggle against the invading armies, both servants of Chaos and Xenos forces latching onto this opportunity for spoils and conquest.
Defenders, Invaders and raiders.
In the grim darkness of the future, there is only war."
+++ The Rules +++
- There will be 3 Factions; Defenders, Invaders and Raiders. When you sign up to join the Crusade in store, the staff will put you in one of these factions, based on several factors to balance the teams.
Each faction will have a Team Captain to keep morale high and support their team mates in the ongoing battles.
- The battles will take place in the Korvelis Sector, where we will be battling for control of the planets in this sector. At the end of each Phase, we will calculate the amount of Bonus Experience each Faction gains based on their planet control.
- This has consequences for the standard procedure in crusade matches. Instead of earning Experience for every match you play, each player can play a single "Ranked Match" per Phase. You and your opponent can declare a match as your "Ranked Match" before the battle starts, then report the results to the staff afterwards.
- In a ranked match, you can earn Experience according to the regular Crusade rules from the Core Rules, including Agendas. This also means that only one model can be Marked for Greatness per Phase.
- Each phase takes a single month, after which the Bonus Experience for planetary control will be calculated and distributed. Then we start with the next Phase, which we will keep going for as long as folks are enjoying themselves.
- There is NO LIMIT to how many battles you play, they will still count towards planetary control. When planning to play, discuss together which planet you are battling for and of course, tell the staff so they can update the map following the result.
- Battles are played with a 1000 points armies, preparing your Order of Battle as detailed in the Core Rules and Crusade rules from the Core Rulebook. You fill in the Order of Battle list and then hand that in to the staff in store. An Order of Battle is required to play in the Grand Crusade.
