The Grand Budapest Hotel is a famed European resort, managed in the 1930s by the meticulous concierge Gustave H. When one of his lovers dies under mysterious circumstances, Gustave finds himself accused of murder as fascism takes hold. Perhaps the most striking example of Anderson’s distinctive visual style, the film is best appreciated on the big screen. It was nominated for nine Oscars and numerous other awards.
