Join us at the splendid Winstanley House in 2024 for a night brimming with the spirit of Christmas revelry!

Get ready for a night of glamour, intrigue, and excitement at the Grand Ball!

Your hosts, James Beaumont Winstanley, played by Historian Jim Butler, will welcome you to an evening filled with captivating characters from history, seated alongside you at your table. As the guests settle in, the plot unfolds and you’ll be drawn into age-old secrets, revealing the mysteries of the Winstanleys.

Enjoy a sumptuous three-course gourmet meal and the Tuxedo Swing jazz band will sweep you off your feet with the best rhythms!

“The Grand Ball” promises to be an evening where the joy of the festive season meets the warmth of community spirit. Indulge in a sumptuous feast, be captivated by enchanting entertainment, and dance the night away in a setting that glows with holiday cheer.

2024 the ball will take place on Friday 22 November!

Tier 1: “The Time-Traveler’s Pass” – Early Bird (T1) Tickets will be available February- May 2024 £45

Tier 2: “The Historian’s Herald” -Early Bird (T2) Tickets will be available April - August 2024 £65

Tier 3 “The Gala Chronologer” – General Tickets (T3) from September 2024 £75

Get ready your dancing shoes for an unforgettable Christmas event!

To make the evening even more special, guests have the fun option to dress up in period costumes. It’s completely up to you, but this playful twist lets you dive into the past and bring an extra spark of magic to the night. Picture yourself chatting with historical characters in outfits that mirror their times – it’s a great way to add a memorable twist to your experience at the Grand Ball!

All bookings under 10 guests will be on shared tables.

Starter: Roasted tomato soup, basil, olive and mini onion tin loaf drizzled with crumbled feta (V, VGa, GFa)

At the end of the booking process, you will be prompted to select your main course from three available options and inform us about any additional dietary requirements.

Main:

Option one: Garlic and rosemary chicken breast, hasselback potato and broccoli with thyme gravy (GF)

Option two: Baked chalk stream trout, crushed new potatoes and fine beans with butter sauce (GF)

Option Three: (Vegetarian Option Main) Asparagus risotto served with garlic bread.(VGa, GFa)

Dessert: Seasonal Set cheesecake, berries and salted caramel.

Dress Code: Cocktail Attire or Guests have the fun option to dress up in period costumes.

Bar – available from 6pm, cash or card accepted

The ticket includes food, party games, entertainment, and access to the dance floor with Tuxedo Swing.
