About this Event
Retreat 4: Transformed into the Gift of God
This final retreat in the series will focus on Island 3 from Ruth Burrows” Guidelines for Mystical Prayer", based on John of the Cross’ “transforming union.” Here we will contemplate the mystery of being transformed into the gift of God. What does it mean to be so receptive to God’s outpoured love that we ourselves become the presence of Love in the world? What does it mean to have so allowed the crucified Jesus to unite the poverty of our being with his “Yes” to the Father’s love that it is no longer we who live but Jesus who lives in us?
