The Gospel According to Mark

The Spirit of Peace Lutheran Church presents a one person tour-de-force performance of the entire book of Mark from the New Testament of the Bible performed by Folger Shakespeare Theatre veteran actor Ashley Strand. 

The creator and performer of The Gospel According to Mark has performed at the Folger Theatre in Washington D.C. Island Shakespeare in New York City and is a company member of Savannah’s new LowCountry Shakespeare. 

He conceived of the show as a way to take words in the book of Mark from the New Testament and “change it into a show that had flesh-and-blood.”  The result is a riveting hour and twenty minute enactment of a seminal text from the Bible performed VERBATIM. Audiences come away having heard the entire story.

September 14 7:00pm Saturday FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY at the Spirit of Peace Lutheran Church 5985 GA-144 Richmond Hill GA 31324. A $30 donation is requested for adults $15 for Seniors Students and Veterans. Families of 4+ are $60. This is a benefit for Spirit of Peace Lutheran Church and thanks to grants and donations 100% of the ticket proceeds benefit the work of Spirit of Peace Lutheran Church.
