Come join us Sunday mornings in the Friendship Room for our Adult Faith Formation class this fall, which invites participants to explore how themes from the hit TV show "Abbott Elementary" connect to the message of the Gospel. Just as the show highlights the joys, struggles, and hopes of teachers and students in a Philadelphia public school, the Bible speaks to the realities of perseverance, grace, and community in everyday life.
**What to Expect**
Biblical Connections: Each session will draw from Scripture to highlight parallels with the show—whether it’s Janine’s optimism in the face of obstacles, Barbara’s faith-rooted wisdom, or the community’s resilience.
Discussion-Based Learning: We will use storylines and character moments as conversation starters for how the Gospel calls us to love our neighbor, serve with humility, and live with hope.
Personal Application: Together, we’ll consider how the challenges faced by teachers, students, and families mirror our own callings as disciples in workplaces, homes, and communities.

**Why This Class?**
Jesus often used stories of everyday life to teach eternal truths. "Abbott Elementary" provides us with modern “parables” about persistence, kindness, and justice. By relating the Gospel to these stories, we can better recognize God’s work in the ordinary and be encouraged to live out our faith more fully.
