About this Event
With popular culture often focusing on the Prohibition era it's often forgotten that the Gilded Age was the origin of some of the most famous cocktails ever stirred.
This three hour event combines a walking tour through Madison Square and Gramercy with a post-walk cocktail hour at Dear Irving Gramercy. In their private Marie Antoinette Room two rounds of cocktails will be served (along with personal charcuterie) that are connected to the sites seen on the walk along.
Along the way we’ll also throw in some “dry” history entailing the famous M**der of Stanford White, the birthplace of Theodore Roosevelt, and the first Prince of Wales to visit New York City.
Tour Stops Include:
- Madison Square Park and Gramercy Park
- Former locations of Hoffman House Hotel, the Manhattan Club, Madison Square Garden and Delmonicos.
- The former site of a Jerry Thomas saloon
- The birthplace of Theodore Roosevelt
- The Players and the National Arts Club
- The former home of Mamie Fish
- Sites associated with the Statue of Liberty, the muder of Stanford White, Tammany Hall, and more….
Each ticket in addition to the walking tour includes two full size cocktails and a personal charcuterie plate at.
By default guests will get to choose between a Daiquiri, a Gibson, or a classic Manhattan cocktail for each of their two cocktails. These cocktails will specifically be discussed in the post walk presentation.
Should you require a non-alcoholic substitution for your drinks please mention it when purchasing tickets.
