Did you know God’s a woman and her name is Eris? Well, you do now!
Don’t be afraid. You’ve been chosen by fate to join in a once and a lifetime club of counterculture literature fanatics and historians. Discordianism in the 60s, 70s and even all the way up till 2025 has been a longstanding tradition of mischief and confusion. Called a “parody” religion, “absurdist joke”, and gorilla mind theater, It spread all across the globe in the 1970s, gathering millions of dedicated Erisans. In recent times, Discordianism has been lost to the public eye and knowledge. I have taken an oath, from the latest official base of the POEE in Sweden, Pope Peter Strange, to spend the rest of my days dedicated to the movement’s conservation and message as a Discordian Priest.
You are invited to my local cabal; “Temple of The Star Apple”. Its first meeting will take place 4PM 10/26/2025 @ Sweet Donkey Coffee House. I shall be sitting by the front door in my easily identifiable priestly vestiges. There we will read together and examine the “Principia Discordia” and other famous classical Discordian books, reflecting on their holy nonsense bi-weekly. Those inspired by the goddess Eris and her doings are free to join as Legionnaires of my cabal, sharing in my mission to bring Discordianism to Roanoke, Salem and beyond.
