The G.O.A.T. Expo

In partnership with Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas, Prince George’s County Health Department, Bowie State University Graduate Student Association, and Step Forward, on Saturday, May 14, 2022, we will be hosting The G.O.A.T. Expo 2022, our 1st annual mental health expo for young people, their caregivers and providers, to learn effective ways of managing their mental health & wellness through supports in Prince George’s County, MD.

This one-day event will include a plenary session, workshops, and exhibitors from health, mental health, and behavioral health agencies primarily geared to caregivers.

The second half of the day will include interactive activities to engage youth and young adults; including live entertainment, open mic, dance contests, and more.

Objectives:

1. Increase health awareness by: Providing mental health and primary care screenings; Engaging in interactive activities; Distributing informational materials; and Performing health demonstrations.
2. Increase awareness of Prince George’s County behavioral health services and resources.
3. Motivate participants to make positive behavior changes.

The G.O.A.T. Expo will be hosted by the Bowie State Univeristy in Bowie, MD. In efforts to ensure the safety of our attendees, partners and staff during this event you will be required to wear face masks. * The university is closely following the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the University System of Maryland (USM).
