What to ExpectWalking into a crowded room can be scary—but not at a Guess My Accent event. We’ve teamed up with Lollipop to create a space where everyone feels like an insider from the moment they arrive.
We start the evening with a Spanish Exchange Session (5:30 PM - 6:30 PM). Our host, Lorena, will guide you through dynamic themes to help you practice your Spanish or English in a fun, pressure-free way.
From 6:30 PM, we open the floor for our Social Networking Mixer. This is your time to find your "Tassie tribe." Whether you are a skilled migrant looking for a "career breakthrough," a local wanting to meet new neighbors, or a student looking for a new bestie, this event is designed for you.
Who is this for?
Everyone! We celebrate all backgrounds, all accents, and all levels of English. If you’re looking for a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community, you belong here.
The Logistics
📍 Where: State Cinema, 375 Elizabeth St, North Hobart.
🕒 When: Saturday, 28th March | 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM.

🎓 Student Special: This event is FREE for students! (Please bring your student ID).
🍷 Food/Drink: The State Cinema bar is open! Show the venue some love by grabbing a drink or snack to enjoy while we chat.
🚙 Parking: Street parking is available in North Hobart—we recommend arriving 10 minutes early to find a spot.
