About this Event

The Ghost of Genomes: Past, Present and Yet to Come...

Come and join us for a Genomics Christmas lecture! We will take you on a journey through time to demonstrate how our knowledge of DNA has evolved from noticing how certain things "run in families" to now using personalised medicine where patients can be offered treatments tailored to their own specific DNA code. With a focus on Cystic Fibrosis, you will learn how genomic technologies have advanced dramatically in recent years and we will think about what this means for the future and how this could impact your own lives.

Delivered by NHS colleagues from the North West Genomic Medicine Service, this lecture promises to be educational, fun and interactive! We will provide an insight into the different careers within genomics and hopefully inspire you to pursue a career within this rapidly evolving field.

Admission is FREE but you must register using the link below and tickets will be checked on entry.
