Steve McQueen plays Doc McCoy, a recently released convict who quickly finds himself getting back into a life of crime once on the outside. Together with his wife, played by Ali MacGraw they plan what should be a simple bank heist in a small Texas town. When things go awry the two find themselves on the run and hunted by the authorities. True to Peckinpah’s style, THE GETAWAY features stylized violence and gritty action that is enigmatic of 1970’s cinema.
