About this Event

The Georgia State Law Review is hosting its first-ever Legislative Forum on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Legislative Forum brings the Georgia State Law Review's annual legislative issue, The Peach Sheets™, to life! We invite you to join lawmakers, scholars, judges, and activists to discuss the state of the law in Georgia and what's next.

The forum will feature a keynote address from Senator Jen Jordan, remarks from Judge Kimberly M. Esmond Adams of the Superior Court of Fulton County, a panel discussion on the controversial Georgia elections bill SB 202, and presentations by Georgia State Law Review members on select laws passed during the 2021 legislative session. We will also be joined by Join Chief Justice David E. Nahmias of the Supreme Court of Georgia and Professor Eric J. Segall of Georgia State Law for a discussion on statutory interpretation, moderated by Presiding Judge Stephen Dillard of the Court of Appeals of Georgia.

A reception to meet and network with some of our speakers will follow in the atrium from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mark your calendar so you don't miss out on this inaugural event!

Attorneys in attendance will be eligible for 3.5 hours of CLE credit. The credits will be reported to the Georgia Bar and may be paid through the bar website.
