About this Event

The Gauntlet Fit Obstacle Course (GFOC) is an exhilarating and demanding fitness competition designed for both individual participants and two-person teams, showcasing a multifaceted approach to physical endurance and strength. Competitors engage in a series of rigorous challenges, including a bench press, ladder drills, pull-ups, a three-mile bicycle ride, farmers walks, tire flips, and various weightlifting exercises, culminating in a one-mile run. Each challenge is meticulously structured to assess different aspects of physical fitness, including muscular endurance, cardiovascular stamina, and overall agility.


Participants have the opportunity to compete for a range of prizes, with top finishers in each category—Men, Women, and Mixed teams—earning medals and cash rewards of varying amounts up tob $150 depending on overall placement. The registration fees are reasonably set, encouraging widespread participation, while offering an early bird special for participants that register in advance.


The GFOC not only promotes a healthy and active lifestyle, but also fosters a sense of community among fitness enthusiasts. Below are the 9 obstacles and requirements for completion:

Obstacle 1 - Bench press - 23 reps

· Men - 145lbs

· Women - 95lbs


Obstacle 2 - Ladder drills - 50 yards


Obstacle 3 - Pull-ups

· Men 23 reps

· Women 13 rep


Obstacle 4 - 3 mile Bicycle ride


Obstacle 5 - Farmers walk - 50 yards

· Men - 50lbs

· Women - 35 lbs


Obstacle 6 - Tire flip - 23 yards


Obstacle 7 - Bend over rows

· Men - 145lbs

· Women - 95lbs


Obstacle 8 - One mile run


Obstacle 9 - Clean & Squats - 23 reps

· Men - 145lbs

· Women - 95lbs


Winners are determined by fastest times

Men: 1st / 2nd / 3rd Place

Women: 1st / 2nd / 3rd Place

Mixed Team: 1st / 2nd / 3rd Place
