The Gathering Of Hope | Faith & Recovery Symposium
The Gathering of Hope is a Faith & Recovery Symposium bringing together faith leaders, individuals in recovery, families, advocates, recovery professionals, and community partners to strengthen the connection between faith, recovery, and community collaboration.
For generations, the faith community has been on the front lines—providing hope, compassion, support, and a place to turn during some of life’s most difficult moments. This symposium will explore how we can build upon that foundation by creating stronger partnerships between churches, recovery organizations, treatment and support providers, and individuals with lived experience.
Attendees will hear from Pastor Cornelius Hill, Recovery Advocate and Executive Director of Next Step Recovery Housing, and advocate Chris Smith, who will share their experiences and perspectives on recovery, faith, advocacy, and the importance of working together.
The conversation will highlight the vital role faith communities can play throughout the recovery journey, while addressing the importance of reducing stigma, strengthening community connections, and ensuring individuals and families know where to turn for help and support.
Whether you are a pastor, ministry leader, person in recovery, family member, peer supporter, behavioral health professional, advocate, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, you have a place at this gathering.
