The Future of Work: Inspiring young people (West Midlands)

This FREE and unique conference will provide valuable insights into the future of work and diverse opportunities within high-tech manufacturing, innovation, engineering and design.

It’s designed for Yr9 to Yr13 students, their teachers, parents, carers and career advisers,

The event will celebrate the diversity of the industry and the huge variety of roles available, with a mix of expert speakers and exceptional young talent. It'll look at opportunities in today’s dynamic work environment, how roles are evolving, the demand for skilled workers and the essential qualifications needed in industry.

This conference will encompass the diverse range of opportunities, including product design & development, packaging, branding, communications, account management, sales, engineering, logistics, HR, accounting, and many other fields.

• Hear from amazing young people who have navigated varied and inspiring training journeys into work.
• Explore the variety of jobs, qualifications and skills needed, from experts who will discuss how roles are set to evolve in the future.
• Connect with large local employers who want to engage with young people and can impact students’ futures.
• Discover how AI, digitalisation, sustainability, and climate change are redefining and enhancing the future of work.
• Take advantage of the opportunity to engage with our expert panel and deepen your knowledge through pre- and post-conference informal networking sessions.

4:30pm The event will open with welcome drinks and refreshments, which will give an opportunity for informal questions with speakers and other organisations, including local employers.

5:30pm The conference will commence with our Keynote speaker, followed by several short presentations. The evening will finish with an expert panel and time for Q&A's.

8pm The conference will finish, however there will be time for visitors to stay (should they want to) for further informal discussion and questions after the conference.

There will be a short natural break in the middle of the conference.
