The future of the transatlantic relationship

Join us for a high-level conference on the future of transatlantic relations, bringing together leading voices from Washington and Madrid to discuss the political, economic, and strategic dimensions of U.S.–Europe cooperation.

The Future of the Transatlantic Relationship: Views from Washington and Madrid will examine the evolving partnership between both sides of the Atlantic amid growing global challenges — from great power competition and technological change to questions of security, trade, and democratic resilience.

The event will feature two expert panels addressing these key questions:

• Transatlantic Relations: A Point of No Return?
• The Spain–U.S. Relationship: Continuity, Change, or Disruption?

Speakers include senior diplomats, policy experts, and scholars from institutions such as the Brookings Institution, Johns Hopkins SAIS, CSIS, and the Elcano Royal Institute, as well as representatives of the private sector and government.

Organized by the Prince of Asturias Chair at Georgetown University and the Elcano Royal Institute, this half-day conference offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the state and future of transatlantic relations from both sides of the ocean.
