The Future of AI with David Powell

Please join the Alabama Economics Club and Innovation Depot on Friday, April 4, as we collaborate to welcome special guest, David Powell, chief revenue officer for Liongard. David will share his insights into AI and how we should think about its evolution. What are the positive and negative impacts? What about the ethical questions that AI poses? Should we regulate it or allow more freedom for new use cases?

David Powell is a 28-year veteran of the IT industry and currently serves as the CRO of Liongard, recently joining from his role as VP of Sales Strategy at Pax8. Prior to that, David was Chief Revenue Officer at Evo Security. Additionally, David was President at Prodoscore and is a board member for the Inspire Brands Foundation. Before joining Prodoscore, David was Senior Vice President of Growth at ConnectWise where he was responsible for account management and cybersecurity partner programs. He was also instrumental in the growth of various businesses in the SaaS space including LogicMonitor (sold to Vista Equity Partners) and Perch Cybersecurity (acquired by ConnectWise). David has extensive experience in high growth companies, and has been involved in three successful exits, and seven private equity backed acquisitions. David enjoys travel, live music, and spending time with his family.
