This ministry comes from real-life experiences and a very personal place in our hearts. Pastor Scott and Elizabeth Campbell have a son, Aaron, who was diagnosed with autism before he was 2 years old. Aaron is now 20 years old (almost 21) and will age out of the post-high program through Rockingham County Public Schools in 2027.
As parents, we understand the deep desire for our children and their special friends to have a safe, loving place where they can experience genuine friendship, fellowship, joy, and belonging. Our prayer is that The Friendship Table will become exactly that β a place where meaningful connections are built and every person feels valued and included.
π βWherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.β
β Romans 15:7 (KJV)
In addition to lived experience of a child with special needs, Elizabeth began her career in elementary school education before transitioning into professional adult learning and development, where she has built a career spanning more than 20 years. Throughout her career, she has specialized in training, curriculum development, workforce education, and instructional leadership across a variety of industries. Elizabeth also holds a globally recognized certification as a Certified Autism Specialist through IBCCES University, further strengthening her expertise in supporting individuals with autism and neurodiverse learning needs.
We would greatly appreciate your support through prayers, encouragement, sharing this post, volunteering, or donations as we begin this special ministry to our community.
