Australia’s rising beach grunge group, Satin Cali, are back with their latest single, ‘Archie’, kicking off an exciting new EP campaign. The band explores the poignant concept of losing someone or something close to your heart, while also paying tribute to Archie, the band's loyal dog, mascot and companion who inspired the track.
Continuing their partnership with renowned producer Daniel Antix at Def Wolf Studios in Sydney, ‘Archie’ brings a blend of emotive storytelling and punchy, raw energy. Fans of Dear Seattle, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Beddy Rays will find themselves hooked by Satin Cali’s signature sound gritty, yet deeply relatable.
‘Archie’ isn’t just about a dog; it delves into the universal feeling of loss and the struggle to let go. The song captures that bittersweet moment when memories are all that remain, resonating with anyone who has experienced the pain of separation.
"'Archie’ is about that gut-wrenching feeling when you lose something that’s been your rock. We wanted to channel those raw emotions, whether it’s losing a pet, a friend, or even a part of yourself,” says Satin Cali's lead singer, Zac. “It’s about finding a way to cope, to move forward, but never forgetting those moments that meant the most.”
This track marks the first glimpse of their upcoming new EP, hinting at a deeper, heavier and more introspective direction for the band. The release of ‘Archie’ will be accompanied by a tour with WA's indie rock band, Death By Denim, bringing Satin Cali’s bold live performance to cities across Australia.
