David’s prayer was that the horn of oil will be raised or exalted afresh and the outpouring of the content which is fresh oil will be used to anoint him again
The vessel or container of anointing oil in David’s case was a horn like a buffalo’s horn and it signifies or symbolises kingship, strength, power and authority so when you raise or exalt the container to anoint it signifies or means you are establishing and raising or exalting strength,authority and power in the life of the person that shall be anointed
David compared the horn used in anointing him to that of a unicorn or buffalo as in the above translation and that he would be anointed again with fresh oil.
Psalms 23:5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
