Please join us for a DG Footlights™ reading of the full-length play The Frankenstein Sisters by Paco José Madden. A talk back with the playwright will occur after the reading facilitated by DG Phoenix Ambassador Sally Jane Kerschen-Sheppard.
About the play...
The Frankenstein Sisters is a modern-day retelling of Frankenstein in which three descendants of Victor Frankenstein bring back-to-life one of the their dead boyfriends. However, when said boyfriend wakes up with a different brain in his head, he no longer fancies his beloved. Instead, a hilarious love triangle ensues between the now alive boyfriend's creator and his ex. But when the town finds out about the boy, will they accept him or sharpen their pitchforks?

DG Footlights™ is a program, created and moderated by the Dramatists Guild, that connects dramatists with free space in which to hold a public reading of a new work that is currently in development. This initiative operates on a space-grant model: a representative from the Guild will arrange for a venue to donate space during allocated dates and times, and will ensure that the space is available for dramatists to use to present a self-produced reading to the public, with an optional feedback session following the reading.
Attendance is always free and open to all.
