The Frank and Walters singer / songwriter Paul Linehan is out on the road for a series of intimate acoustic gigs.
The lyrical and musical genius of Linehan’s song writing is laid bare in this initiate format and the true magic of the songs, coupled with Paul’s engaging personality shines through.
With a back catalogue of hundreds of songs penned over 3 decades Paul plays all your favourites and some long lost classics in all their acoustic glory.
Paul has penned and performed hundreds of songs with The Frank and Walters which have captured the hearts and minds of generations.
He has lost none of his talent or motivation to produce fantastically crafted and catchy indie songs and continues to write new material to this day.
He also shares some of the stories behind the songs and anecdotes from the hippy diddly crazy world of life in one of Irelands most enduring bands.
Expect to hear hits such as ‘After All’ and ‘Fashion crisis hits New York’ coupled with timeless classics like ‘How can I exist’ and ‘Landslide’.
In 2024 The Frank and Walters were named person of the year in Cork and were Grand Marshalls for the Saint Patrick’s day parade.
Recently the band captured a whole new audience when their ‘90’s hit single ‘After All’ featured on the cult comedy show ‘The Young Offenders’ (the infamous ‘Billy Murphy’ bus hijack scene). Their recent single featured Peaky Blinders Cillian Murphy doing a voiceover on the track ‘Stages’ – with the Franks & Walters you never know what to expect next, but you know it will be a bit quirky and great fun….
Formed in Cork, Ireland they have been spreading joy and happiness with their indie-pop music for over 30 years.
‘The Franks’ became world famous in the 90’s Indie scene and have a catalogue of hundreds of songs from 7 studio albums.They still play sold out gigs all over Europe.
The group appeared on the UK music show Top of the Tops with their single Afterall which reached no 11. On that night they met their hero Paul McCartney as he was also appearing . Their support bands have included Radiohead and Suede ,PJ Harvey and Noel Gallagher was their roadie.
Noel Gallagher has been quoted as saying. “If I wasn’t for the Frank and Walter’s I’d be working on a building site now”
Their concerts are quirky and fun and you can be sure to hear all their hits including ‘This is not a Song’, ‘After all’, ‘Walters Trip’ ‘Fashion Crisis hits New York’ and ‘Stages’.
