The Great Allentown Fair is proud to announce that legendary Motown icons The Four Tops will take the stage with the Allentown Symphony Orchestra for a spectacular Opening Night performance on the Service Electric Grandstand Stage on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
Known around the world as one of the most celebrated vocal groups in music history, The Four Tops is commemorating an extraordinary milestone this year, 70 years of timeless music and unforgettable performances. Their appearance at The Great Allentown Fair promises an evening filled with beloved classics, powerful harmonies, and a unique orchestral accompaniment by one of Pennsylvania's premier professional orchestras.
With twenty-four Top 40 hits in the United States, including chart-topping classics such as "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)," "Reach Out I'll Be There," "Baby I Need Your Loving," and "It's the Same Old Song," The Four Tops have remained a cornerstone of American music for seven decades. Their remarkable career includes induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Today, the group's legacy continues through Lawrence Payton Jr., Theo Peoples, Ronnie McNeir, and Michael Brock, who carry forward the unmistakable sound and spirit that have inspired generations of fans worldwide.
Joining The Four Tops for this special performance will be the Allentown Symphony Orchestra (ASO), currently celebrating its 75th season. Under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor Diane Wittry, now in her 31st season, the ASO has earned national recognition for its artistic excellence, innovative programming, and deep commitment to music education and community engagement throughout the Lehigh Valley.
The orchestra's talented musicians, many of whom also perform with major orchestras in Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C., will provide a rich symphonic backdrop to The Four Tops' iconic hits, creating a concert experience unlike any other.
Tickets for The Four Tops with Allentown Symphony Orchestra go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, June 12. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or at the Fair’s box office.
Special box office hours will also be held on Friday, June 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All show tickets include admission to the fair. The Box Office is also open every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
