About this Event

The Forest as a Mentor

Exploring how nature can offer new perspectives on the challenges we carry.

What if nature could become more than a beautiful place to relax?

What if the forest could become a mentor?

Many of us approach challenges by thinking harder. In this experiential workshop, we explore a different way of knowing: slowing down, listening deeply, and allowing the living world to become a source of insight.

Together with we will enter the forest with curiosity and an open question from our own lives or work. Through guided practices of observation, reflection, and quiet attention facilitated by Stefan Faaz-Fertzl from Soilful, we will explore what the forest might reveal about the challenges we carry. Rather than looking for quick answers, we create space for unexpected perspectives, intuition, and deeper connection.

This is not about learning about nature.

It is about learning with nature.

No prior experience with mindfulness or nature-based practices is needed - only curiosity and a willingness to experiment.

What you can expect
  • Experience the forest as a partner for reflection and learning.
  • Explore a personal or professional challenge from a new perspective.
  • Practice slowing down and deep listening beyond the analytical mind.
  • Exchange experiences with a community of fellow changemakers.

Practical Information

📍 Meeting point: 2:00 PM at Lusthaus, Prater (Vienna)

🌳 From there, we will walk together into the surrounding forest.

🕛 Duration: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

🪵 The workshop takes place entirely outdoors. We will spend time walking, standing, and sitting on the forest floor.

🌦️ The event takes place in all weather conditions, so please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes.

We look forward to exploring together what becomes possible when we reconnect - with ourselves, with each other, and with the living world we are part of.
