Join us for the next edition of The Fold, a creative networking event bringing together artists, designers, makers, photographers, filmmakers and creative minds from across the community at Stanley Road Store.
This edition features a special screening of Lift, the acclaimed documentary by Marc Isaacs. In Lift, Marc Isaacs installs himself inside the lift of a typical English tower block, where residents begin to share their stories, revealing funny, moving and unexpected glimpses into everyday life.
Following the screening, we'll be joined by Russell Crockett, editor of Lift, for a conversation about the film, documentary filmmaking, and his newly published book.
Our Fold Spotlight will explore the work of three influential documentary photographers whose portraits have shaped the medium:
- Zofia Rydet
- Richard Avedon
- Nan Goldin
Whether you're a filmmaker, photographer, artist, student, or simply curious about creative work, The Fold is an opportunity to meet like-minded people, discover new ideas, and be inspired.
