About this Event
Do you know who threw the first punch at the Stonewall uprisings? It was Stormé DeLarverie, a black drag king and butch lesbian who was a singer, emcee, bouncer and activist! They turned to spectators and said, “Why don’t you do something?” This show is dedicated to them, and many of the kings, things and artists who paved the way for us. This show is about reconnecting the king and thing community with our history at Stonewall and reminding folks that we have always been here, have always been at the forefronts of these movements and we will always be here. Long live the kings and things???️⚧️
