Hear the story of the fight against Project Chariot – the U.S. government’s plan to detonate H-Bombs on the Alaskan tundra. Dan O’Neill, author of The Firecracker Boys, will share the story of the scientists, conservationists, and Iñupiaq residents who led the grassroots efforts to stop nuclear testing near Point Hope, Alaska and brought about the first stirrings of the environmental movement.
