Fil Pate Trio brings their high energy Newgrass sound to the Biergarten stage! While paying homage to the founders and heroes of Bluegrass Music, Dawg Music, and Acoustic Swing Jazz, FP3 also adds modern flair with spirited improvisations and arrangements that take a different path than the norm! The core group plays Acoustic Guitar, Upright Bass and sings in Bluegrass harmony along with Fil Pate on Mandolin. There is always something for everyone, from traditional old-time fiddle tunes, Fun covers of familiar songs, all the way to Originals written by the band. Come out and enjoy this unique band in Tampa!
FP3 has recently performed at Clearwater Jazz Holiday 2025, Skipper's Smokehouse, Tampa Pig Jig, The Independent Bar, Boom By The Bay 2024, Siesta Key,.
Fil Pate also hosts Bluegrass Jams, including the Billy Strings "Pre Pickin' Parties" at New World for the past 3 years, along with leading his Jazz and other projects.
