About this Event
During one of the most consequential elections in American history, attacks on the democratic process are rapidly escalating. There are crackdowns on voting rights, mis- and disinformation eroding trust and the threat of a contested election this November. It is a critical moment for America and the future of the country.
Join Emory University’s Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry and The Guardian as we look at the history, what is at risk right now and what we can all do to engage in the democratic process and work to make real the promise of a representative democracy. Speakers include Alan Abramowitz, Carol Anderson, George Chidi, Bernard Fraga, Kira Lerner, and Sam Levine. Special guest to be announced.
