The Fieldhouse Legacy Classic Olympic and Powerlifting Competition

Have you thought about competing in a weightlifting competition? This is the perfect event to help you gain practice or experience in a supportive atmosphere. For those who actively compete, this provides a free platform to practice in a competition setting.

THE VENUE: This event takes place inside the Peaks Ice Arena in our beautiful Fieldhouse fitness space.

EVENT DETAILS: All participants will weigh in and declare their totals anytime before 9:30 AM the day of the competition. The competition will begin at 10:00 AM. The order of Powerlifters vs. Olympic lifters will depend on number of participants and will be announced by 6/24. A confirmation of lift times will be sent out the night before (this depends on the number of participants registered).

OLYMPIC LIFTING: Competitors will be judged in order of the Snatch first, then the Clean and Jerk. Three attempts will be given. Judges will watch for form and proper lock out of the movements. The judging criteria and rules will be reviewed with the competitors on competition day.

POWERLIFTING: Competitors will be given the option to compete in the Squat, Bench Press, and the Deadlift. Competitors may choose a combination of two of these lifts or compete in all three. Judges will watch for proper depth of the squat (thighs at parallel) as well as foot placement on the Bench Press and neutrality of spine in the Deadlift. The rules will be reviewed at the time of the competition.
