The Eyes
About this Event
A new performance by Amelia Charter and Jessica Hemingway incorporating six large sewn panels with live accompaniment by Primož Sukic. Using light, their movement and sonic compositions explore the visual physiological response to changes in perception of illumination, time, and distance. Charter and Hemingway at times disappear behind the fabric panels, and other times are more foregrounded, emerging and reemerging differently through sequences, shadows, and forms. This performance is the first iteration of a new collaboration between Charter and Hemingway.
