How convincing can you be when you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about?
The Experts Are Wrong is a comedic PowerPoint improv night and fundraiser benefiting Dance Waterloo. Attendees can sign up to take the stage and confidently present a PowerPoint they have never seen before, submit a ridiculous “expert” presentation for someone else to decipher live, or simply grab a drink and enjoy the chaos.
Think The Economics of the Grocery Store Rotisserie Chicken, A Behavioral Analysis of Why Socks Disappear in the Laundry, or Urban Planning Lessons Learned from Squirrel Navigation.
Presenters discover their topic at the exact same moment as the audience and must improvise their way through the slides with the authority of someone who definitely has the credentials. The audience serves as the judging panel, scoring our completely unqualified experts throughout the night and ultimately crowning the winners.
Want to make the experts work for it? Ticket holders can submit their own ridiculous “expert” slide deck ahead of the event for one of our unsuspecting presenters to tackle live. Submission details and deadlines will be provided after ticket purchase.
Your $25 ticket includes admission and complimentary wine, beer, and sparkling water, with all proceeds benefiting Dance Waterloo’s accessible dance programming for individuals recovering from chronic homelessness, adults with learning and developmental disabilities, and senior citizens.
