In connection with our upcoming production of Three Decembers, and in partnership with The Red Ribbon Charitable Foundation and the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Pensacola Opera is honored to host a panel discussion to look back on the AIDS epidemic and its lasting impact on our community. This meaningful conversation will bring together community members who were the original "boots on the ground" – the courageous individuals who stepped up to support those affected during the height of the crisis.
Panelists Include:
Dr. Barbara Wade, Infectious Disease Provider
Butch McKay, Executive Director, OASIS Florida
Joshua Menge, Executive Director, Red Ribbon Charitable Foundation
Dr. Mitchell Whitehead, AIDS Healthcare Foundation
David Richbourg, Vice Chair, Pensacola Opera
Moderator: Corey McKern, Artistic Director, Pensacola Opera
Join us on Thursday, Sept. 18th for this moving discussion as our panelists share firsthand stories, honor those that were lost, and reflect on how the AIDS epidemic shaped our community then — and now.
Pensacola Opera Center
Thursday, Sept. 18th at 6 PM
