The Entitled Sons first formed in 2022. They and their parents, Graham Swift and broadcaster and entrepreneur Sarah Beeny, were featured in numerous television documentary series. From 2020, they were featured on the Channel 4 series Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country. On creating the band's name, mother Beeny said: "When they were talking about a name they realised that because of the TV show some people would think they were entitled, whether that’s true or not. So, they went with it and called themselves The Entitled Sons, which I thought was great."
