Our last performance in the theater was on February 28, 2020.
After 14 months of rehearsing over Zoom, socially-distanced, and with masks, selah dance collective (SELAH) presents an evening of new works and guest choreography.
The end of the end of the world will present four new works with choreography by Amanda Keller, Chloé Roberts, and director Meredith Cabaniss Ventura. Each piece represents a different facet of the work that SELAH is best known for: versatile dance pieces that engages dancer, audience, and choreographer and challenges all to take an introspective approach to questions about human nature.
In addition to the SELAH repertory, local dance artists Arianna Hartanov and Gianna Burright will present new works. As the first “full audience” repertory dance show to be presented in Santa Barbara after the COVID-19 pandemic, SELAH is excited to showcase these artists who have continued to make work over Zoom, with masks, and through video as ways to stay engaged in their creative process even with COVID restrictions and safety measures in place.
This show will take place the day that the COVID-19 restrictions in California end. Currently, the guidance is that we will be able to have a full audience and masks are suggested but not required. We will update you if this changes.
Thanks,
SELAH
