Energy issues in France and Europe, in the context of the war in Ukraine
About this Event

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine in February, an energy crisis has started to worry many countries dependent on Russian gas. The upcoming winter is expected to be a test not only for the French and European governments, but also for the climate and energy policy of the EU.

Noƫlle Lenoir is a leading legal expert and politician. She was the first woman and the youngest person to be appointed as a Justice of the French Constitutional Court, the equivalent of the US Supreme Court. She was the minister for European affairs in the French government from 2002 to 2004. A well-known specialist of EU affairs, climate and human rights law, and enterprise social responsibility issues, she previously taught at the Sorbonne, Paris Institute of Political Sciences, Columbia Law School and University College London.
