The Enchanted Garden Glow

Imagine walking through a garden after dark… down lantern-lit pathways, surrounded by the warm glow of beautiful jack-o’-lanterns, tiny sparkling lights, and wisps of fog drifting through the night.
For one autumn evening, we’re turning the nursery at The Eclectic Cottage into a glowing garden — and we’d love your help creating the magic.
Help us light the garden.
Bring your carved pumpkin to the Cottage and let it become part of our very first Enchanted Garden Glow. Carve something beautiful, whimsical, funny or wonderfully creative — then we’ll tuck your pumpkin among the pathways and plantings and light it for the evening.
Kids are encouraged to carve a pumpkin of their own and join in the fun, too. Children’s entries will be judged separately, and every child who brings a pumpkin will receive a little treat bag just for taking part. Our general-entry winner will be chosen by the community during the event and will take home a beautifully curated prize basket filled with special surprises.
Drop off your carved pumpkin at the Cottage on Thursday or Friday, October 22 & 23, between 10:00 AM and 5:30 PM, or on Saturday, October 24, before noon to enter. We’ll provide a battery-operated tea light for each pumpkin, so there’s no need to bring a candle.
Then make sure to come back after dark on Saturday, October 24, from 5:00–8:00 PM and see what we’ve created together. Stroll the glowing paths, discover the pumpkins throughout the garden, cast your votes, enjoy a little cider, grab something delicious from John’s Dawg House, and spend an autumn evening at the Cottage.
