Workshop Overview
A fun and interactive skill-building workshop series designed to EMPOWER & PREPARE Teens/Preteen Girls to CONFIDENTLY NAVIGATE their impressionable and vulnerable teenage years with more confidence, clarity and conviction in who they TRULY are and what they stand for!
The Empowered Girl Workshop will focus on three main categories and is consciously curated to empower girls with the tools and skills they need to thrive socially and emotionally. These foundational skills are absolutely essential and will guide them throughout their entire life.
3 Core Lessons
Personal Leadership Development:
Description
Building confidence, self-esteem and leadership/presentation skills
Understanding and embracing core values
Practicing mindfulness and self-awareness
Communication and Relationship Skills:
Description
Developing respectful connection-focused communication
Setting and communicating healthy boundaries with peers (scripts provided)
Improving social skills and navigating toxic behaviours
Emotional Intelligence and Expression:
Description
Understanding and expressing emotions effectively
Advocating for personal needs, wants, and preferences
Worthiness strategies for improving inner dialogue for greater mental health
What Their Gaining:
-The CONFIDENCE and CONVICTION to Stand In Their Power of their Innate Worthiness as they face life’s ups and downs.
-The COMMUNICATION and ADVOCACY SKILLS to Speak Their Truth in service to their highest good.
-The ability to practice DISCERNMENT and CRITICAL THINKING to Take Ownership and Responsibility for their choices and creation of their future.
-The EMOTIONAL LITERACY and ARTICULATION SKILLS for Verbal and Non-Verbal Emotional Expression for developing healthy fulfilling connected relationships.
-The Ability to IDENTIFY BOUNDARIES and CONFIDENTLY EXPRESS their Needs, Wants, Desires and Preferences with Assertiveness and Empathy
Details:
When: Every Thursday for 6 consecutive weeks.
Dates: Thursday November 14th, 21st, 28th, December 5th, 12th, 19th.
Time: 6:00PM - 8 or 8:30PM depending on class size
Cost: $197 (payment plans & private group bookings available) Reach out to Host, Kandace, to send etransfer instead and save the eventbrite service fee. 250-808-1151
Location: Kelowna (Black Mountain, just off Loseth - Beautiful Private Workshop Space) Address given upon ticket purchuse for privacy purposes.
Age: 11-15 (Contact for inquiries on upcoming workshop with older teens)
Supplies: All supplies, journal, workbook, mirror, "intention" bracelet etc included!
Activities: Crafty and creative in nature, self-reflective journaling, movement breaks, using microphone to activate voice in a fun way, beading bracelets to use a visual mindfulness anchor, mirror art etc
Nourishment: Light snacks and refreshments included.

About the Host: Kandace Stoneman is passionate about gathering and empowering girls and women for the purpose of increasing self-esteem and creating deeper connection in relationships. As a Confidence & Relationship Empowerment Coach and Emotional Intelligence Consultant, she specializes in teaching skills for healthier, more fulfilling relationships (including with self) and does this through facilitating workshops, speaking engagements and personal and professional coaching. Whether it’s through building confidence, communication coaching or conflict resolution skills, deeply connected and empowered relationships are available to all of us! Social and Emotional Skills are the essential building blocks for teens and preteens to master in order to become confident, resilient and socially, emotionally, and mentally stable young adults! One parent to another, these are the skills (and then some) we wish we learned when we were growing up, but probably didn't. Looking forward to connecting!
