The Emmet Althoen Quartet
About this Event
Join us for an evening celebrating the remarkable artistry of one of Southern California’s most exciting young jazz musicians as The Sanctuary Studio’s Young Artist in Residence, Emmet Althoen, brings his quartet to the stage.
At just 15 years old, Emmet has already established himself as an exceptional talent, combining extraordinary technical ability with a mature musical voice that belies his age. A member of the Orange County School of the Arts’ prestigious Ambassador Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Dr. John Reynolds, Emmet has developed a deep love for improvisation, composition, and the rich tradition of jazz piano.
Having studied with acclaimed pianist Jeremy Siskind, Emmet’s playing is distinguished by its sensitivity, creativity, and effortless command of the instrument. Whether interpreting beloved jazz standards or exploring original compositions, he brings a rare balance of lyricism, sophistication, and youthful energy to every performance.
Joined by a quartet of outstanding young musicians, Emmet presents an evening of inspired improvisation and compelling ensemble playing in the intimate setting of The Sanctuary Studio. As the studio’s Young Artist in Residence, this performance offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the artistry of a musician whose future is exceptionally bright.
