Friday September 12th and almost a year to the date of their las performance, we cannot wait to welcome back, The Elton Joan Band and their Tribute to the Legendary Elton John as well as The SHEagles – All Female Tribute to The Eagles Live at the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave)! The Elton Joan Band have played some great shows over the years at the Linsmore and we can’t wait to bring them back for another one! Elton Joan will also play some of the hits from Fleetwood Mac and Billy Joel on this evening! Featuring some of Canada’s best musicians including Joan Marshall, we are in for an extremely fun night of music to some of the most Legendary bands ever, performed by some incredible female musicians! Tickets are $10 in advance, $10 at the door, don’t miss it!
Joan Marshall’s LOVE of great piano music inspired her to create THE ELTON JOAN BAND , Canada’s Unique all female Tip-Of-The-Hat to the timeless tunes of Sir Elton John . She started playing by ear at 4 years of age … studied Classical Piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music as well as Majoring in Keyboard and Percussion Studies at the world renowned Music Program at Humber Jazz College in Toronto.. Joan has played many genres of music (including Jazz, Funk and POP-Rock and with many gifted musicians She has composed music for IBM, CIBC, RBC as well as scored music for Toronto Workshop Theatre Productions .Joan also enjoys playing solo piano gigs and has performed at venues including the prestigious McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinberg, Ontario , and at the Markham Flato Theatre .As well, Joan has worked with and performed on City TV Breakfast Television with Actor and Musician Dorian Harewood . In 2017 Joan was honoured to accept the position of Music & Choir Director for Fundraising Events for the Meta Centre in Toronto.
The SHEagles is a dynamic all female Eagles Cover Band that brings the timeless classics of the legendary rock band to life with a fresh, empowering twist! Formed in 2023, and fronted by lead vocalist Kat Grace THE SHEagles channel the essence of Don Henley and Glenn Frey.. They deliver a captivating performance that resonates with fans old and new. The SHEagles are dedicated to preserving the spirit of The Eagles while adding their own flair making each performance a memorable journey through the band’s greatest hits !
