We're going all electronic again for this SHINDIG, as part of the Arts by the Sea Festival Fringe and in association with the Bournemouth Electronic Music Open Mic coll active we bring you WattSki AF, Steve Loud and EM-EE.Shindig - Saturday 4th - WattSki AF, EM-EE, Stevie Loud
October’s SHINDIG ties in with Arts by the Sea and is based around the Electronique elements of music in our area. Headliners are WattSki AF ft SQULS coming off the back of a set at Camp Bestival, support from live Neon DnB outfit EM-EE and local electro master Stevie Loud.
WattSki AF featuring SQULS is a noise and immersive audio-
visual collaboration that fuses high-voltage electronic beats with glitch heavy live visuals. Combining WattSki AF’s experimental and improvised electronica with SQULS’s boundary-pushing VJ work, the project creates a sensory overload that turns every performance into a full-spectrum experience. Their reputation is growing in Dorset, born out of the EMOM scene, growing in DIY venues, where no two performances sound alike—modular synths, hacked drum machines, and live remixing all part of the act.
SQULS, a visual artist and real-time VJ whose projection-mapped installations and reactive video loops had been making waves in the digital art world. SQULS doesn’t just accompany the music - he actively manipulate live feeds, generative visuals, and glitch aesthetics in sync with WattSki AF’s unpredictable soundscapes. The result is a synesthetic performance where audio and visual elements feed off each other, creating an ever-evolving, feedback-driven spectacle
