About this Event

To commemorate Juneteenth, Black people would gather for community
celebrations with food, song, and dance. In the spirit of the rich legacy our ancestors have left us,
for the third year in a row (since Juneteenth was declared an official holiday in 2021) The
DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center is proud to bring back our community
Juneteenth Festival.

Please join us for a community gathering to celebrate the Juneteenth holiday, on Mon. 6/19, from
10am – 8pm. We will have activities for the family, music performances, food & drink. The
DuSable Museum is also proud to announce a Hip-Hop Communiversity discussion session
featuring renown Hip-Hop legend, Kool Moe Dee, as we also commemorate the 50th anniversary
of Hip-Hop.

Keep watch on our website and media pages in the coming weeks, for more information.
