Ireland’s greatest bands,The Dundalk Dolls, return to the Spirit Store on December 29th after a blistering set earlier this year. They will be playing all the hits from their debut album 'The Waves Have Eyes' praised by Margaret Roddy in the Argos as 'an accomplished set of songs with clever often deadpan lyrics... to be enjoyed over and over'.
One of the few highlights in a dire season off and on the pitch for Dundalk FC has been hearing the Doll's iconic 'Sons of Oriel' played over the tannoy in Oriel Park. This song is a reminder in bad times how good the good times can be. They have been lauded (liked on twitter) by cultural luminaries Paul Duane & David McWilliams. Their second album 'The Zero Hour Breeds New Algebra' will be released in May 2025.
Support for the night is provided by Dundalk music legend Paul Carolan's 'Blue Denim', known for his patented 'Rolls Royce Groove' and captivating lyrics he will bring a dynamic energy to the evening.
