Since rocking Jazz Freo with string quartet Sign of Four in 2023, virtuoso violin/mandolin/vocalist Daniel Drieberg is back again, with a new all-star ensemble, featuring Joel Drieberg, Russell Holmes, and Adam Springhetti.
Daniel Drieberg is a prize winning WAAPA Jazz graduate with a passion for diverse musical experience, multi-instrumentalism and cultural exchange. He combines this with an infectious energy that enlivens his musical collaborators and delights audiences.
Joel Drieberg is a young up-and-coming drummer, with interest and skill in many genres. He is currently one of 6 instrumentalists in the finals for the international James Morrison Generations in Jazz Award.
Russell Holmes is a triple WAMI award winning pianist. He is held in immense regard within the music community as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator, having taught many of Western Australia's finest. His enthusiasm, warm nature and decades of experience shine bright in his playing.
Adam Springhetti is a musical chameleon, and one of Daniel's most frequent musical colleagues. His highly trained and creative approach to double and electric bass, banjo, and more, position him in a unique and central position within the Western Australian music scene.
Rest assured, this one of a kind ensemble will present many discoveries, theories, and places which they have encountered along their eclectic and rich musical journeys. You will hear unique interpretations of classic standards, original compositions, modern favourites, and hidden gems from artists including The Yellowjackets, Sting, James Taylor, Pat Metheny and more.
This ensemble will have you talking about how good they were long after the last note has been played.
